Wailea Beachwalk
Patty celebrated her birthday today! After singing her Happy Birthday in bed, we ate breakfast and walked the beach (seven miles total walking today). She wanted to walk the Ka`anapali Beachwalk but it's sprinkling rain up there so instead we headed south to the Wailea Beachwalk. The weather was nearly perfect and it's always nice to revisit our wedding spot on the hill overlooking the beach next to the Four Seasons resort. We walked as far north as the Wailea Elua then south almost to the Kea Lani. This was quite a decent little trek and we prefer it to the Ka`anapali Beachwalk.

Kimo's
Back to the room, I hit the sun for a little over an hour, showered, napped, then we headed off to Kimo's Restaurant at 5:15. Kimo's is a very special place for us, being we ate dinner there after we got married fourteen years ago. We arrived there just in time to see the sunset and the tiki torches lit. It was nearly perfect. Ron, our waiter, did a great job--he is laid back but prompt with everything. I had the Teriyaki Sirloin, Patty had the Kushiyaki, which we both enjoyed. Dessert? What else but their Hula Pie? Coffee afterward capped off an outstanding dining experience. More walking and shopping afterward, then back to the hotel for some necessary laundry. It was a very nice day but the weather looks threatening for the weekend--light winds followed by Kona winds and rain. VOG? Hopefully not.
