Beachcombing
We really like waking early when on Maui, so we were up at 6:30. The lanai here is a great place to start the morning off, with coffee and views of the ocean and Lanai in the distance. Peaceful. The fishing boats were already out and the first folks of the morning were walking the beach. After we ate and did our own beach walk, I struck out on my own, bound for a picture expedition. Stops at Honolua Bay, Hanakao`o Beach, Launiapoko Beach and McGregor Point resulted in a fairly decent batch of pics.

Cheeseburger In Paradise
After enjoying the sun for a while after lunch, we headed to Cheeseburger In Paradise for dinner. A quick tip; if you want to eat here (especially during the high season) get here early! By early, I mean before 5:00. The wait can be up to an hour and a half at this restaurant! We got there at 4:15, and walked right in--no wait at all! Besides getting here early, it's May and things have really slowed down in Lahaina. Anyway, the burgers were great, fries were pretty good. Worth what we spent? Eh....perhaps. By the way, the oceanfront setting here is far superior to their location in Waikiki.
The view of the sunset from our lanai tonight was incredible. Possibly the best I've ever seen. Since we didn't take a nap today, I was out by 9:30, but was awakened just after midnight by two couples yelling and being drunkenly stupid on the beach. One of the girls actually went into the ocean with long pants on! Eventually I fell back asleep.
