Our Trip to Hawai'i (2007)--Day 19

More relaxation!
Up early again; shower, eat and hit the beach for our morning walk. Patty walked for nearly two hours. I walked a shorter distance while taking pics. Ran into a guy who was photographing the beginner surfers near the harbor. He had a Canon perched on a tripod with an 8 megapixel sensor and a huge 550mm lens! I wonder how much he plunked down for that gear, but forgot to ask.

Mama's Fish House
After walking, we hit the road by 10:30, bound for Mama's Fish House. It's sunny and we got there early enough to secure a dreamy windowside table--open windows, a view through a coconut grove with the waves crashing on the beach--perfect! I had a ribeye steak and Patty had some kind of Ono salad. They were extremely tasty. The only downside? The bill! $99, including the tip. No lunch is worth this much. Also, portions could be larger. Sorry. But I'll say this...it's a restaurant everyone should experience at least once.

Is there a better dining view than that from our table?
Not much going on at Ho`okipa Beach today. There's a good breeze, but we only saw one windsurfer there. Not sure why. Similarly, Baldwin Beach was pretty dead. We also took a trip up to Iao Valley State Park. Clouds didn't obscure the Iao Needle but the pictures which I took weren't anything special.
