Our Trip to Hawai'i (2007)--Day 20

Even more relaxation!
It was sunny today, so guess what we did? You got it! Our regularly scheduled early morning walk on the beach had to come first, of course. Patty really enjoys doing this. After tanning, I hit the ocean, swimming for about 45 minutes while Patty walked the beach. The ocean in front of the hotel is reef protected and shallow. You can walk out nearly a block and be in only chest-deep water. Water shoes or reef shoes are essential here. Tonight we watched a couple getting married on the lawn.

Kimo's
After watching the ceremony we weren't invited to , it was off to Kimo's, our favorite restaurant in Hawai`i, As always, our experience here was great. However, the quality of my Polynesian Chicken had been better in the past. After the main entrees, we shared a Hula Pie for dessert (yet another tradition). If you've ever been to Kimo's, Duke's or the Hula Grill, you've seen these and probably eaten one. They're magnificent; if you're on the Weight Watchers system, you don't want to know how many points one of these bad boys is!
Early in the afternoon, we made the customary calls back home to let both sides of our family know we're okay, having fun, and generally rubbing it in just a bit. . Another great day on our favorite island.
