Our Trip To Maui (2016)--Day 9

The sun was the thing today and I got plenty of it. Patty went out on her floatie for about an hour and got a little cooked. She needs to start using sun protection! I mean, I do and I've had the benefit of 30 sessions in the tanning bed prior to coming here. But I guess it's for her to decide if she wants to suffer. (Dangers of tanning booths aside, of course)
Moon about to set over Lanai
After discussing which Italian restaurant to attend tonight, we decided on Antonio's in Kihei over Fabiani's in Kihei. Antonio's didn't open until 5:00 and we got there at 4:30 so we spent a half hour wandering around the Azeka Mauka shopping center area, checking out where things are such as Coconuts Fish Cafe and Fabiani's. There is also a Times Supermarket close by so we decided to go there after eating instead of Safeway in Lahaina.
Antonio's surprised us. Not the food--reviews had mostly been very favorable, but the atmosphere was much better than we had anticipated. It's in a strip mall so one doesn't expect much in such a setting, but it was very pleasing with Italian music playing. It wasn't loud as we had been led to believe from a couple sources.
We started with the garlic bread. The added parmesan cheese gave the bread a wonderful flavor. Patty got her salad (as she nearly always does because of fears of gaining a pound on Maui), and I got the Lasagna. It was excellent, nearly as good as Fabianis Wailea's version. All in all, this was one of our best dining experiences thus far.

Times Supermarket is just as expensive as Safeway. We had hoped otherwise.
In bed early; I wanted to watch more Jericho but pooped out by 10:00.
