Our Trip To Maui (2016)--Day 17

After driving Patty to the fitness center, I went out in search of pics. It’s Memorial Day so the beaches were heavily used by locals. I tend to leave the beaches to those who live here on the weekends and holidays. There are plenty of other opportunities to take pics. I got down to Puamana Beach and then stopped and returned to the hotel.
It was another laundry day, and we ended up watching Breaking Bad. Patty headed out on her floatie after everything was put away. In the early afternoon, clouds rolled in so I didn't have a chance to tan today.
It’s taken a long time to get used to where I keep everything, and we leave in three days?? Weather-wise, it’s been our second-best trip. The 2008 visit was slightly better. There have been only two or three muggy days, trade winds have blown fairly consistently, and we’ve had rain on only one day. Trades were back today after a sultry weekend.
We’re tired! After a long afternoon nap, we walked to Pi Artisan Pizza at 5:00. We sat inside as the sun was very hot on the outside tables. Sausage pizza rolls started off the meal and they were quite good. I then had a small Caesar Salad, and it was reasonably good. Pizzas here are 12” and wood-fired. Patty built her own with sausage and pepperoni. I ordered the Pi 3-Some, which had meatballs, fennel sausage, pepperoni, red onions, provolone cheese and chili flakes. The flakes added a nice bite to the taste.
These pizzas were fantastic! Best we’ve had on Maui so far, even better than Pizza Madness.
It rained on the way back to the hotel. I got a little shopping done and found one more workout shirt and one more t-shirt. I’ve bought eight shirts so far, and think I’m done shopping with only two full days left on the island.
The rains stop and we hit the hot tub. The guy from Seattle with the family of five we met earlier was here tonight.
Hawaii Five-O on Netflix tonight, we finished season 5. Out by 11:00
