State Park #7--St. Croix State Park
9/19/2011
There was a lot we missed in this State Park--basically, nearly all of it. Did you ever have one of those hikes where you just weren't in the mood even while thinking you were? This described us to a T on this day. We started off with no real destination in mind and ended up hiking a trail nearby the St. Croix River, going about a mile before turning around and heading back to the car. It's too bad, too! Because the Yellowbanks CCC Camp wasn't far from where we U-turned--my dad was in the CC Camps back in the 1930's at Sawbill Lake so this part of history has always been of interest to me.
Fast forward about three years and there is no doubt we'll be back to this park, armed with an Avenza Map to see where we are on whatever trail we wind up on. The Two Rivers Trail is certainly one we'd love to hike.
Not much to see where we went, so no pictures taken today.
